The winner will perform a movement of a concerto with the Boston Civic Symphony at the orchestra’s Family Concert on Sunday, October 14, 2012, 2:00 pm at Regis College in Weston.
ELIGIBILITY The competition is open to all instruments of the orchestra, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, guitar, and piano. Applications must be between the ages of 8-18, reside and/or attend school in the greater Boston area, and are not yet enrolled full-time in college or a conservatory. Previous winners will not be considered.
AUDITION Applicants must perform a movement from a concerto or concertpiece from the standard orchestra literature. Any questions regarding suitability of the piece should be addressed to Max Hobart.
WHEN Auditions will be held by appointment on Saturday, March 17, 2012, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Preferences for audition times during that day will be honored in the order that applications are received.

AUDITION Applicants should be prepared to play the entire selection he or she wishes to perform if chosen as the winner. Each applicant must provide his or her own piano accompaniment.
