Boston Civic Symphony 2008-2009 Audition Information
Vacancies: all string sections, french horns, percussion and timpani
Sublist: oboe, bassoon, clarinet, trumpet
Audition Date: Saturday, September 6, 2008
Time: 10am-4pm
Location: New England Conservatory (room to be announced)
Please prepare a short solo (preferably from a concerto), and a few orchestral
excerpts from our program this season. The audition will be about 15 minutes
long and will include sightreading.
Scholarship info: students who are currently studying music are qualified to
apply for a modest stripend. The range is from approximately $400-700 for the entire season.
